Father’s Day is Sunday, June 20, 2027. The weekend opens with a 5K and health fair at Fairpark on Saturday morning, and Tupelo’s golf course, simulator bays and Sunday brunch spots cover the rest. The Tupelo Elvis Festival fills downtown the weekend before, June 9-12.

Father’s Day weekend events

NEMS Alcorn State Alumni Race for Scholars 5K. A run, walk and wheelchair 5K at Fairpark, 71 E. Troy St., starting at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, June 19, 2027, with a virtual option. It raises scholarship money for Northeast Mississippi students going to Alcorn State University, and a health and wellness fair with a blood drive and blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol screening runs alongside, the race page says.

No Father’s Day car show, cookout or tournament had been announced for 2027. We will add them as organizers publish details.

Golf

• Bel-Air Golf Course, 2107 Country Club Road, 662-841-6446: a public nine-hole course that opened in 1940, run by Tupelo Parks and Recreation. In 2026, Friday through Sunday rates were $25 for nine holes and $35 for 18 with a cart, according to the department’s guide; prices are set by the course staff, so call to check.
• Backswings Golf and Grill, 1014 Commonwealth Blvd.: golf simulator bays you can book online, plus food and drink. Sunday hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., according to Visit Tupelo.
• Disc golf: Veterans Memorial Park has three disc golf courses, one of them a free 18-hole course, and Ballard Park has another. See our parks and trails guide.
