Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 9, 2027. No Tupelo restaurant had posted a Mother’s Day 2027 menu by Oct. 16, 2026, so below are the places that serve brunch on Sundays, last year’s family events and the downtown stores to shop for a gift. We will add specials as venues announce them.

Things to do with Mom
- Flowers for Mom, Tombigbee State Park. On Saturday, May 9, 2026, the park ran a 10 a.m. to noon session where kids painted and decorated a flowerpot and planted a flower to take home. It cost $2 a person for park entry (children under 5 free) plus $5 for each flowerpot kit, according to the state parks event page. The 2027 date is not out; call 662-842-7669.
- Elvis Presley Birthplace, 306 Elvis Presley Drive: open 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays, with the grounds open 24 hours. Call 662-841-1245.

Gifts from local stores
Downtown Tupelo’s stores are the obvious place for a gift that is not from a big-box shelf. Reed’s Department Store and Reed’s Gumtree Bookstore on West Main Street, Spring Boutique, MLM Clothiers, LA Green, Haven Studio and The Caron Gallery all take part in downtown events, the Main Street association says.
- Downtown Dollars work like cash at participating downtown shops and restaurants and come in $5 units, from the Main Street association, 108 S. Broadway St., 662-841-6598.
- Tupelo Flea Market opens the second weekend of every month at Tupelo Furniture Market Building 1, which in 2027 makes it Mother’s Day weekend, May 7-9: 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, $1 admission, children 5 and under free, according to its Visit Tupelo listing.

Not in 2026: the Tupelo Farmers Market at The Depot opened its 2026 season on Saturday, May 16, the week after Mother’s Day. The 2027 opening date had not been set by Oct. 16, 2026.
