The Mall at Barnes Crossing, 1001 Barnes Crossing Road, calls itself northeast Mississippi’s premier shopping destination. Its stores include Belk, JCPenney, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Old Navy and Ulta Beauty, according to the mall.

  • Regular hours: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
  • Black Friday and holiday hours: the mall says it will have extended Black Friday and holiday hours, but had not posted the 2026 times by Oct. 26. Its holiday page says to check back in November.
  • Santa: the mall’s Santa page lists photos from Nov. 22 to Dec. 24 with reservations recommended, but on Oct. 26 its day names matched last year’s calendar, so confirm the 2026 schedule before you book.

Individual stores set their own opening times on Black Friday. Check the store’s own site before you go.

Downtown Tupelo and Small Business Saturday

Downtown is where Tupelo’s independent stores cluster, along Main Street, Spring Street and Broadway. The Downtown Tupelo Main Street Association runs three holiday shopping events:

  • Holiday Open House, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8. Decorated stores, a head start on gifts and Santa for photos. Free. (details)
  • Deck The Depot, Saturday, Nov. 21, at The Depot, 208 N. Front St.: pop-up shops from downtown merchants, baked goods from Farmers Market vendors, food trucks, photos and kids’ crafts. Visit Tupelo lists it as free; the association said on Oct. 26 that vendor details would come this fall. (details)
  • Downtown Dollars: gift money in $5 units that spends like cash at participating downtown businesses, including Reed’s Department Store, Reed’s Gumtree Bookstore, Spring Boutique, MLM Clothiers, Fleet Feet Tupelo and several restaurants. Buy them online or at the association office, 108 S. Broadway St. (participating businesses)

On Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28, the downtown stores above are the place to start. We will add any special hours or events stores announce.
